International Women’s day 2020

When it came to celebrating international Women’s day 2020, I thought it was a good opportunity to celebrate some wonderful bloggers and some of their awesome blog posts.

Last year I spoke about all the Women I am lucky to have in my life to inspire me and support me

Women supporting women

Amazing things happen when women support each other. When they build each other up rather than knock each other down.

This is more true in blogging than I ever realised. This community is very female lead and also highly competitive.

It could very easily become quite a toxic community for these reasons. Much like most social media outlets have the ability to be.

The last year of blogging has been such a wonderful experience and I have met so many amazing people that it feels only right to celebrate these wonderful bloggers on International Women’s day 2020. I want to look at some of my favourite posts by the best bloggers around.

Bloggers supporting bloggers

Jenny in Neverland.

Let’s have a look firstly at Jenny, She is ace, so much so, I am half tempted to jump in the car and head off to eat cake with her in a cute cafe somewhere.

It is hard to choose just one post by Jenny but there is a clear winner, purely for the use of the word banging. It is my humble opinion that all bloggers should have a post with banging in the title.

What this woman doesn’t know about blogging, frankly it’s not worth knowing!

The Tea Chest blog

Next we have Justine. A tea fan at heart but also one of the most supportive bloggers out there. But what I love is the adventure that Justine is currently living. I think there is a part of all of us that dreams of travelling the world. Not many of us make this a reality.

Here Justine tells us of her dream becoming a reality. Even reading it felt like a ‘Pinch me’ moment. It is incredibly exciting and I can’t wait to see the world and all the tea it has to offer through her eyes.

Four Fox Sake

Now it’s Hannah’s turn. Her blog is all about offering a refreshing look at the reality of parenting. It offers just the right level of swearing, which I love, but mainly some straight up FACTS!

  • How to be a great parent

This post had me nodding along in agreement, I don’t know a parent around who wouldn’t relate to this post.

I love Hannah’s sense of humor in her posts but on Twitter too. A breath of fresh air within the blogging community!

My Anxious Life

Now it is Jo’s turn. I think Jo began blogging as I had just stepped my game up a little. So we’ve kinda been on this journey together, in fact without her I wouldn’t have taken the step to become self-hosted!

Jo talks about her anxious life, the ups and downs and family life. The post that really resonated with me was this one.

I think Jo would make an excellent friend!

Nyxie’s Nook

Following Nyxie’s blog has always been a huge education for me. I love reading blogs on a range of subjects. For me though a blog that really opens my eyes to something I openly admit to having no idea about, That really shows the value of a writer.

Her passion for sharing her experience is clear. But her honest and brave accounts really make this blog another level. I really admire her journey through recovery and love watching her grow.

It was hard to choose just one, but this one was a real insight in to eating disorders but also in to Nyxie. A brilliant read.

Bournemouth Girl

Last up is Lauren from Bournemouth Girl. I love to journal and have taken so much inspiration from Lauren and her bullet journal set up. I am no where near as skilled as she is though.

This is the post that inspired my journal this year, without it, I would have a very empty bullet journal!

Blog support

I could definitely go on and on with this post so I had to limit it. But this blogging community is just full of people who inspire me, push me to keep going and support my blogging journey.

So this International Women’s day I want to say thank you and encourage you to go and check out these fabulous women.

Go and tell all those that make your day better, cheer you up and cheer you on that you are thankful for them, they are special and you couldn’t and wouldn’t want to do it without them.

Who would make your list? Let me know and I will check them out!

Spread the love
