Certainly in the blogging world, more of us seem to have made time for reading during lock down. I wanted to find a way to map my reading, so of course I turned to my trusted journal prompts!
Book love
I have found that the more I’ve read, the more I want to read. Or is it the more I buy books, the quicker I read so I can get on to my next book. Either way I am currently reading a lot!
It is honestly one of the highlights of this whole crazy year. Being able to throw myself back in to books again has been a complete joy and probably just the distraction I needed. An escape from reality, not that 2020 could every be accused of boring!
As ever though, I want to combine my love of journal writing with my newly rekindled romance with books. Once I started putting these prompts together, I couldn’t wait to get writing. I hope you enjoy them as much as I have.

Oh, those are fun ones for sure. I love that you included both things you did and didn’t like. I’m a teacher, and my kids are always shocked when I say I dislike some books, but it leads us to some good discussions.

Ooh I don’t journal myself – I’d like to but whenever I try, I fall into the pit of perfectionism and rip out all the pages haha. But I think these are a great set of questions for reflecting on reading habits! 🙂

These are great. I completed the Pop Sugar Reading challenge last year and these would’ve have been great for my reflections. Still are! One genre I have read but I’m not that keen on is historical fiction. Having said that I’m enjoying a book set in America in the late 60’s right now.
Ooo now these are all food for thought, but I like the look of ‘What book would you re-write the ending to?’
Yes, I am struggling with that one. I have read so many amazing books that fall at the last hurdle!

My wife is a big book reader, and this year for various reasons she has read many, I’ve forwarded this onto her as I’m intrigued to see what her answer would be.
I don’t journal, but I love a good Q&A. Might just answer these for fun and compare answers with friends.

Can I simply just say what a comfort to discover an individual
who truly understands what they are talking about on the
net. You actually understand how to bring an issue to light and make it important.
More people need to look at this and understand this side of your
story. I was surprised that you’re not more popular since you most certainly
possess the gift.
