The Original Questions
When do your decorations go up?
The last weekend of November, It has to be up for the Elves arrival!
Who is the Scrooge in your family or friendship group?
My Partner isn’t so much a scrooge but he will happily leave all things festive for me. He likes to moan about the Christmas tree being up too early and how Christmas films should only be watched a few days before Christmas. It’s light-hearted but for a full on Mrs Claus I do like to tease him!
If money were no object, how and where would you spend Christmas?
Everywhere! I love Christmas so much that I would love to see how it’s done in every country. I would have to take the whole family with me though as Christmas is all about family for me.
What Chritsmas film do you HAVE to watch every festive season?
It would probably be easier to write a list of Christmas films that I DON’T watch every festive season. Die hard! That’s it!
Who do you find hardest to buy presents for?
Men. Not just mine, but all Men. Rob is hard, My Dad is harder (Plus 2 days later it’s his birthday so double inspiration needed!) and even my almost 13 year old is tricky to buy for!

Would you rather buy lots of little presents for a hamper, or buy one big/ main present?
Little. That’s why we always end up looking like we have too much because I buy lots of little bits and bargains throughout the year. I buy things I know will be well loved or are needed. It might be boring to some but at least I know there will be less items discarded or forgotten about.
What did you leave out for Santa when you were a child?
A mince pie, carrots for the reindeers and a small glass of sherry! I don’t remember EVER seeing my parents drink sherry and I know that I went on many a mad dash shop with my Mum a few days before Christmas looking for Sherry.
Where did you spend last Christmas?
Oh it was so perfect! I had my Dad over, all the children and my lovely in-laws. It was a really lovely day despite being poorly with what I later thought could have been Covid!
Which Christmas song makes you cringe?
I love most Christmas songs, but East 17 Stay Another Day always makes me cringe.
If you could be a character in a holiday movie, who would you be and why?
It would be Elf because I love how excited he gets and how new everything is to him. It really is like watching a kid at Christmas. They only see the good in everything and everyone.
Kelly’s Questions
You are hosting a festive dinner party and can choose 5 celebrities dead or alive to attend. Who would you choose?
The Queen, Margot Robbie (Girl crush!), Tom Selleck, Robin Williams and Olivia Coleman as the Queen in the Crown so I can decide which is best!
Which celebrity would you most want as a friend, and what would you gift them for Christmas?
Paul Hollywood and I would buy him a plastic hand so he can continue to give his Hollywood handshakes during the pandemic!!!

So pleased you’re going to join in x x
I really enjoyed reading your answers. I completely agree that men are just so difficult to buy for. I love that you’d invite the Queen to your dinner party.
I am obsessed with the Queen!
Men are soo difficult to buy for my partner is literally the worst for buying for as he already has everything he needs! Great answers x
Yeah my Fiance just buys what he wants! We have both started buying for ourselves and handing over to the other to give to us!! How pathetic is that! Although it does mean that I know I will love what I am getting and vice versa x
If money was no object I’d spend Christmas in Lap Land! It looks absolutely magical! 🙂 My tree always goes up in November as well xxx
Oh yes!! That would be amazing! We were thinking about it for our honeymoon, torn between that and New York x
I loved reading your responses! Elf is such a classic.
Thank you! It’s such a great film x
Such a wonderful Christmas tag! I wish I did blogmas this year. Great post
It’s been hard work but I’ve really enjoyed it x
A lovely idea for a blog post. These are some great questions. I struggle to buy for the guys in my family. Thank you for sharing this tag lovely.
Thank you! Men are impossible x
I agree that men are some of the hardest to buy for, especially when it comes to small stocking filler style presents. My fiance is exactly like your other half, he isn’t a scrooge but will happening leave Christmas stuff like decorations and stuff to me x
He will only get on board at last minute. Although he does dish out sellotape like a pro x
This is such a great post and perfect for everyone doing blogmas!
It was fun to do x
Love hearing about other people’s Christmas traditions – we have so many!
This is definitely the perfect Christmas tag, I am excited about this Christmas even though its not as big as last year.
If money were no object, I will buy a Christmas tree and all ornaments that I love then put it in my room – even when we’re here don’t celebrate Christmas, but I LOVE Christmas vibe so much x
I’m really excited about this Christmas and spending time with my family will be the best gift for me this year 🙂 Also, thinking I *may* put up my Christmas tree today! 🙂
I really struggle to buy for my Dad, I always used to get him a shirt or something but he doesn’t want clothes now LOL
I always buy lots of little things, picking up bargains throughout the year and it always looks like I’ve gone overboard but in reality spent very little. My partner is hard to buy for and it birthday 2 days before Christmas so it’s doubly tricky.
LOL! It would be awesome to play Elf, but that part had Will Ferrell’s name all over it. Noone else could have done it justice! Always been Die Hard 2 for me, although Alan Rickman in Die Hard was awesome! Gosh you put your tree up early! Sim x
