Never before has a TV program grabbed me like GOT has.
I was late on board and only watched it for the first time last year. From 10 minutes in I knew it was for me.
Even if it does go against everything I say I don’t like. Violence, fantasy and gore!
But I’m hooked. I’ve been waiting for series 8 for what seems like forever…. we finished re-watching less than 10 days ago… but I like a bit of drama in a blog post.
It has the greatest characters I have ever seen. The casting as well is out of this world.
Each character has become so real to me. I spend a lot of time considering who is my favourite character but this constantly changes due to the wonderful story telling.
I am so pleased with the characters we have left, each of them sum up the story and the journey we’ve all been on. I am cheering them all on, well almost all of them.
Now I couldn’t possibly tell you who I think will end up on that Iron Throne but I can tell you I’d be very happy to NOT see Daenerys on it.
An unpopular view I’m sure but oh god she’s annoying! Although I’ll be honest and say that I am not sure if it is based on the actress or the character, the lines are blurred for me!
It is almost a worry for me that if she is, I’ll be disappointed by the ending of GOT. I have to stop this mentality or I’ll ruin it for myself.
I am sure all die-hard fans have their own theories on what might happen. But one I’ve been giving far too much brain space too recently is Hodor.
Now we didn’t actually see him die and we know what that means in TV world right? He could still be roaming Westeros calling out Hodor. But I think it’s best to assume he is now a walker.
But here is where my theory kicks in…..
Bran can control him as the 3 eyed raven so could Bran be key to bringing down the White walkers by taking control of Hodor??
I think this is a better theory than my last one which was Bran IS the Night king! But based on the size of Bran’s nose in comparison to the night kings, I vetoed that theory!
I have avoided all fan theories because they are obviously wrong and I am right! So you read it here first folks.
Although in reality, all I can tell you that will DEFINITELY happen is that I will no doubt cry at the end of the show.
Whatever happens now though, I can assure you that I think it’ll be a long time before we see anything on the same scale as Game of Thrones again.
And now just hours stand between us and the conclusion of the greatest story I’ve seen portrayed on TV.

This is also my favorite tv show even though placing it in that “box” just feels…wrong. Game of Thrones is so much more than an exceptionally well written, directed and performed masterpiece. It’s the broadest brush stroke of every foul, ugly, despicable and grotesque human emotion ever imagined. Tempered by unconditional loyalty and love, to a fault. I’m not going into the season with any expectations because I want to genuinely feel what each script/scene is accurately trying to depict. I will also be shedding tears, I’m sure. 5.5 more hours to go! #sheready
I agree that Daenerys is the worst character. I felt the same reading the books. My favorite theory is that Tyrion is actually a Targaryen and has a claim to the throne himself.

I’ve had the same feelings / theory regarding Hodor! I think he’s become a white walker, but I hadn’t thought of Bran being able to control him – interesting! I think its going to end with Jon on the throne as he’s the rightful heir now, but also see him giving it up to Danaerys, or marrying her. This is Westeros after all lol. I do love the theory that Tyrion is in fact a Targaryeon!
Yes I’d love to see Jon on there but I don’t know 🤷🏼♀️ it would be an ace twist if Tyrion was a Targaryeon!
I think I’m the only one who hasn’t watched GOT yet! I see that you got on board late too so I guess there’s still hope for me… I’m just not sure if I can take so much of the gory stuff…
I’d be super curious to hear the rest of your thoughts on Daenerys! I haven’t watched most of this series, but I’m 100% in it for the final season and super anxious to see what happens with the Night King and Viserion. (I’m afraid that resolution won’t be delivered until the very last episode, though.)
I love game of thrones! And I can’t wait to watch this final series but I’m going to be sad when it ends
Totally agree! I want to watch it but then it’ll be over and I’m not ready for that x
That was such a cool theory, it feels weird knowing that soon the show will be over and all of our theories will be put to rest! I also don’t really want to see Dany on the throne, the latest episode shows just how unstable she can be whereas someone like Jon is calmer. Personally I’d love to see Arya on the throne but I don’t think it’s her thing!

Yes I agree, a lot of people are annoyed at that and that they’re making her “the villain” but honestly I don’t blame her after all the losses she just had!x
