The one thing that is clear about the community of bloggers is just how supportive they are. It is incredible place and supporting bloggers by nominating them for awards such as the Sunshine award. Plus it is a great way to get to know them as well.

1. Which do you think is your best Blog-post and why?
This is an easy one. I think the Journey from Cancer to saying goodbye. This was the first time I opened up about what had been going on for me personally. It took a LONG time to write and once it was finished, it sat in my drafts for a while. One day, I don’t know why, but I decided to post it. I felt so exposed and really worried about what my family would say.
The response I received was mind-blowing! Not just in the world of blogging but also from my friends and family.
I recently re-read it and I have to say, despite the difficult content, I was so proud of the story I was telling and how well I managed to get it across.
2. Which is the worst Blog-post you have written and why?
This is a little tougher, because of course I am awesome and being crap is not an option!
It would probably be any of my early ones I think.
3. With the exception of ‘death’ cause that’s a forgone conclusion for everybody and everybody’s loved one…name one thing that has happened in your life that you wish you could change, and why.
I do try very hard to regret very little, I think living with regrets will only make you wish you’d done things differently. And I don’t think there is anything I’d like to change about my life.
But if pushed I think the one thing in my life that I wish I could change would be to have done things sooner. To not wait for things. I’d of learnt to drive sooner, lost the weight earlier, I’d of jumped in feet first rather than hesitating.
4. If you were given a million quid/dollars etc and you had to spend it within 72 hours what would you do with it and why?
I’d buy three 3 bedroom houses, average house cost £200,000, average rental income in my area of around £750-850 … Hello retirement!!
This was an easy one, we play this game all the time! We never play the lottery though!
5. If you could change something about yourself (a certain character trait/something about your looks/a mannerism etc) what would that thing be?
Rob tells me I say certain words a lot. I didn’t believe him and now he points it out to me which makes me want to punch him really hard in the face!
It must be crazy annoying for him, although he claims it is cute. I think he says that because he loves me! Bless him.
2 of the words are So or Else… So i’d quite like to stop doing that or else it may not be cute for much longer!

6. If you knew now what you knew now when you were 16, how do you think your life would have been different.
I’d of not bothered with the course in childcare that I did at college. At the time I loved it and oh did we have a lot of fun but it didn’t lead anywhere. Honestly though, I think if I had my time again I’d do an apprenticeship. They are so valuable and its a great opportunity to earn while you learn. I don’t know what I’d of done it in but I’d of found something I really wanted to do.
I am constantly recommending them to any under 16 I meet!
7. Excluding children (cause I don’t have any so I can’t join in and I know many of you will choose these(!)), what’s been your biggest life achievement?
2013! Thats right, not simply one thing but a whole year. As 2013 started I was unemployed, single and pretty miserable. I’d been losing weight but hadn’t found what I thought I might by doing so.
I’d hoped that my life would suddenly improve but it really wasn’t that simple.
2013 ended up being one of the greatest years for me. I got a new job, one that really changed everything for me, I turned 30 and reached a huge milestone in my weightloss journey.
My life is a million times better now, but I see this as a turning point and that my refusal to give up was my biggest achievement.
8. Let’s go all ‘Desert Island Discs’ for a moment – actually, let’s rip it right off. Give me your five favourite songs and if they provoke memories, let’s hear the memory!
1- Pink – Dear Mr President – It is just one of my favourite songs to sing out load and it makes me remember my time living in London.
2 – Adele – Chasing Pavements – My friend and I were singing this when I’d gone in to hospital to have F, I thought it was chasing payments though, mainly because it fit with the job I was doing at the time but my friend was singing chasing rainbows. I still change the words every time I hear it and it takes me right back to that moment.
3 – Ed Sheeran – Supermarket Flowers – This track was the one we chose for Mum’s funeral. It breaks my heart every time I hear it but it brings me so much comfort as well.
4 – Usher – Yeah – This was my Mum’s favourite song. It reminds me every time it comes on the radio of dancing to it with her and my friends at my 21st Birthday party.
5 – James Arthur – Say you won’t let go – This song was around a lot thanks to X Factor the summer I met Rob and I feel all warm and fuzzy each time I hear it.
9. What/who (famous person or otherwise) makes you laugh hysterically?
As cheesy as it sounds, I have to say Rob. Even from the very beginning we have been able to laugh until our sides actually hurt, laugh so much we get a headache and our faces hurt. And I love that about him. Especially as not everyone is lucky enough to see that side of him often.
10. If you could re-live one day in your life, which day would it be and why?
Some people might think this a little odd, but it would be the last day my Mum was alive. Because if I knew it would have been my last with her, I’d of done things so very very differently.
I have so many more things I want to say to her, to tell her, to ask her. I’d hold her, I’d of never left her if i’d known.
I know the outcome would have been the same regardless but I’d of been there for her until the very end.
11. Is there anything I can do today to help you to promote your Blog?
Just keep doing what you’re doing, you are seriously one of the most supportive bloggers I have met. And I can’t wait to make a cocktail date with you.

I love reading these kinds of interviews and finding out more about the people behind the blog. A million quid wouldn’t get me very in investing in property in Edinburgh though – 3 bedroom flats in our area are selling for over £400,000 and rent for a 2 bedroom flats are over £1000.
I am a so or else kind of girl too, I never noticed until someone told me I over use it.
