6 special acts of kindness to support bloggers

Today is Random acts of Kindness day and it is a day I think is really important. I love kindness and I think we should make it part of every day. But how can we use these special acts of kindness to support bloggers?

Random acts of kindness

I focus on kindness a fair bit on my blog because I think is is such a special thing. Of all the ways I could be remembered, I want people to remember my kindness. That might sound a bit big-headed, but I’m usually a bit negative towards myself, recognising this positive trait is a big step.

But kindness doesn’t need to be big acts or buying things for people, there are some really simple ways you can show kindness, especially in the blogging community.

6 special acts of kindness to support bloggers

Read their posts

As content creators, we spend a huge amount of time researching and putting together our posts. We are writing what we love and what we are knowledgeable about. But there is little point in writing if no one reads it.

No matter whether you’re a blogger yourself or a friend or family member blogs, please give it a read. You don’t have to love everything we write, but at least give it a try.

Share, share and share again

Now you’ve read it, do you know what would really help us out? Sharing. By sharing our posts, it is more likely that it will be seen by a bigger audience.

As a blogger who devours a lot of content, I am guilty of not always sharing posts that I love. A simple re-tweet or a pin takes no time at all but it all helps us to grow. To be seen.

Support their affiliate market

If you know you’ll be placing an order online, why not ask if anyone has an affiliated link for certain companies. You get the item you were ordering anyway at no additional cost and you can help a blogger to earn a small commission. It’s win win!

Buy their products

Of course, I am not saying that you should buy something a content creator has developed just because. But if it is something that would genuinely support your own blog then why not support them at the same time.

For an extra shot of kindness, make sure you leave a review for any product you’ve used.

Sign up to their email list

No one wants to be inundated with spam emails, but I genuinely love it when my favourite bloggers newsletters hit my inbox.

It is a great way to remember to read their posts and often pick up some great advice, or freebies and recommendations. And I love that.

You’ll never miss one of their posts again.

Follow

Much like joining a mailing list, following on social media will also assure you’ll never miss a thing. Thanks to social media algorithms, the more you interact with someone, the more of their content you’ll see.

Instagram in particular really likes it when you share to your stories or save the post. I only recently knew that was even a thing. But I now have a mass of saved posts to refer back to. It’s a great tool for a fast moving platform like Insta.

It is much easier to share on various platforms if you follow them.

Link build

If you’re writing a post and want to add in relevant posts that offer valuable advice, look to the blogging community first.

It would be easy to find links online for all subjects, but check out your fellow bloggers first. They are usually talking from experience rather than a generic view from another website. And if you’re a blogger, you know the importance of creating backlinks to support your DA score. Again it’s win win.

Kindness wins

The blogging community is full of kindness and I think that is why I love it so much. But there is always room for more kindness. So this Random acts of kindness day, make sure you pay it forward and show kindness in all you do.

Don’t forget though…kindness is for life!

How important do you think Kindness is in the Blogging community? Do you try to support others as often as you can?

  25. Love this, so many important points. Those in a tribe should stick together and support each other! I do my best to read and comment on as many blog posts as I can and share as often as possible. I do also think it is important to do it in a genuine way though. I often struggle with the ‘retweet and share’ blog post threads, not because they aren’t a good idea, but because they often don’t bring genuine engagement. I want people to genuinely love my content and comment because my words moved them too. So, I do take part in thise but I try to do it for the right reasons….not just for the performance, if that makes sense? And, thanks to your post, there is one thing I realise I could do more of, and that is link to other peoples blog posts in my own. So I will! Thank you!
