It’s time to look back over another month of Happy days, it’s week 28 – 32 this time.
It has been a very productive kind of month in terms of the house. We have finally completed all the work that has been in progress since last July! This in itself has been the basis of most of my Happy days during week 28- 32.
Happy days week 28 – 32
Let’s get started on July!
Week 28

This picture is from the first time we all left the house together just because! We’ve not taken the kids anyway out in public since the first weekend in March properly. Parks of course but today we decided to head to coventry.
New clothes were needed and I’d put it off for as long as we could manage! I headed to Primark while these guys had an explore of Coventry Cathedral.
This picture is one we try to capture every year, I love seeing how much they change.
It was nice to be outdoors and doing something that felt fairly normal. We even treated them to a McDonalds so as normal a day as we can get!
Week 29

The following weekend was much the same. We had to go to Ikea to get the furniture for the new bedroom. You can only do so much online, sometimes you need to see the item in the flesh so to speak.
Thankfully they have a really good system in place at Ikea and we were in and out fairly quickly and painlessly.
We toyed with just sending one adult and keeping the kids at home, but neither of us felt adult enough to make this decision by ourselves. The children definitely needed to be there to keep us on task!
Week 30

This was a big day for us, the end of term! As I work in a school and have been playing teacher for over 3 months. Both of us have been counting down the hours to this moment!
I dropped F with his Bompa for a few days. He thought we were just there to sort out our new bedroom but in fact we were getting his new bedroom sorted to.
It meant a VERY busy and childfree weekend for Rob and I but wow was it worth it.

Before when it was still partially our room
After, the perfect Teenager’s bedroom
Keeping it a surprise was totally worth it when he walked in to his normal bedroom to find it completely empty! His face was priceless.

Of course we completed our bedroom as well, but I am dedicating that to a post all of it’s own!
Week 31

Happy Birthday
Pink hair
Lovely flowers to remember Mum
Mum’s second angel birthday
This week saw me turning 37! How to celebrate this almost midlife crisis… Dye my hair pink of course!
I had a lovely day and was very spoilt by friends and family. Rob was working so F and I went shopping and had our first meal out. It was such a lovely way to celebrate.
The following day would have been Mum’s birthday. We celebrated her by having afternoon tea and looking through old pictures. I miss her so much, but it was a special day to remember her.
Week 32

This week saw my focus shift to my blog. I have worked my backside off this week to plan content, create pins and generally invest in myself and my blog.
It has really paid off with 2 opportunities landing in my inbox in a few days. That alone has been enough to spur me on.
It was also the week that I returned to the gym, And while I am loving being back. Today I sit here typing and wincing! Gosh does my body know about it. But I am enjoying the feeling of a new normal.
July wrapped up
It has been such a full on month but I look forward to a slightly more chilled August and with a glimmer of hope that a holiday may be a reality for us, August is looking like a great one to.
How has your Month been? What did you get up?

You’ve had such a busy July. I love your pink hair. It looks awesome. What a great way to celebrate your birthday.
Sounds like a mega busy month for you but full of great memories! Love all these photos in this post and yay for you all leaving the house together again haha! It’s the little things 🙂
Wow, what a productive month you’ve had! That bedroom transformation is incredible!
Our July has been very quiet still – we all went out to hunt for book bargains in our local charity shops but that was about it haha. But as Jenny said – it’s the little things!
Hope you had a great birthday and that you guys have an amazing August! 😊
I’m so glad you are getting out and about now. Just being in the sunshine works wonders after being trapped at home for so long. And that is so cool that you surprised your son with a new bedroom. We did that last year for our kids for Christmas and it was such a fun surprise.
You’ve had a very busy month and it sounds like the Summer holidays is well needed! x

Sounds like a very busy July. But yes thank od no more homeschooling. That was hard or is it just me? Aww I bet he loved his surprise and his new bedroom.
Looks like a busy few weeks! I’ve also been venturing out to a couple of shops too and it’s nice to get some sort of normality back, even if things look a bit different! x
Sounds like you had a nice time! I am always sad to say goodbye to July, but hopefully August will be just as good!
Glad you’ve had a productive month! Love your kids’ eye colors. They must have got it from you x

July seemed like it was wonderful! Birthday aside, there are lots of memories there! Thank you for sharing this little slice of life with us 🙂
It sounds like you had a great month. I’m so pleased you managed to surprise F with his new bedroom, he looked very happy with it.
It sounds like you have been so busy! I hope you had awesome birthday and I absolutely LOVE your pink hair.
Sounds like you’ve had quite a busy July. Ours was pretty uneventful – the kids have been on holiday from school since the end of June, but with lockdown still being so strict in Scotland we couldn’t really do very much, especially without a car.
July was good, very busy but in good way busy. I’ve also had a birthday and also turned 37 🙂 hoping for more relaxing August. x
For my family, July was still the same as the past months. Still on lock down, still coping, but thinking of ways to have fun. We usually try new recipes and we list down those that we’d be making again. Hopefully, August will give us more “freedom.” I have been wanting a haircut for the past two months! Thanks for sharing your family activities and hope you have a good month this August.
Thank you Kristine. I really hope August brings you all you and the family need, freedom being one x x
I love reading about your happy days. I am so glad that working so hard on your blog has paid off for you this month, that’s fantastic!
Thank you x
Sounds like you had a busy July – such a lovely post to read!

Thanks for sharing, what you have been doing in the last few weeks 🙂
I have not been to the Cathedral in Coventry for ages, I hope that we have time one day to round with my nephews as it was a favourite attraction of mine as a child when visiting my grandparents 🙂
