Nine weeks in to my mission to find out, Can you be happy every day Week 6-9.
Can you be happy every day?
60 days in an I am pleased to report that so far, I have not slipped. I am really enjoying keeping a track of what has bought me happiness each day.
I look forward to that moment where I reflect on the day. Some days the happy moment is obvious, others I have to really think hard about it.
Either way, taking that time is a really valuable way of looking at the positives that every day has to offer. It is far too easy to dwell on the negatives of the day rather than look for good.
Happy days
Week 6

The first day of February should have begun like this but instead we had to wait a week.
All of the Pinky-Lomax’s were heading off to Carlisle on the train for the day but the tour was cancelled. We were all pretty gutted about it. Thankfully, just a week later we were off.
With the threat of Storm Ciara looming we were a little worried. It felt like this day out was doomed for disaster! It would seem though that the Train god’s were smiling on us and despite a little bit of rain, we were treated to a beautiful day.
We traveled to Carlisle thanks to The Railway touring company, it collected us from Rugby and then picked up a steam engine in Carnforth. It was only a short stop in Carlisle but it was so worth it.
A great time was had by all and this picture is about the only one that I got of most of the group. And despite it not being the best picture, its a great reminder of a wonderful day.
Week 7

There is something so special about flowers any way, but having them sent to your office on Valentines is extra special.
I know some have mixed views on Valentines, but I have spent far too many Valentine’s on my own so I am going to make sure I enjoy every moment.
I’m unable to share what was written in the card becasue this is a family blog but believe me when I say it was heartfelt but made me laugh a lot!
Week 8

Half term arrived for the boy, sadly not for me though! This meant he got to spend the week with his Grandpa and had a great time.
It also means a bit of time with my love, just the two of us. This meant lots of decorating but also a lovely trip to the cinema together.
We love a cinema trip, especially thanks to Meerkat movies and our local cinema having just had a huge deluxe overhaul. A bit of luxury for £8! Thank you very much, the cuddle seats are the best!
Week 9
Finally my half term arrived. I was a bit bummed that it would not include F but I was excited for some downtime, blog time and gym time.
As you can imagine, the week has flown by and I don’t feel as though I have achieved all I would like to.
What I have enjoyed though is making the most of the gym, I have done aqua fit, aqua zumba, swam and done a wellbeing workout which I absolutely loved! This was also the week I joined Slimming world again. Fingers crossed that all this hardwork pays off.
I am also off to see the Script this month and I can’t tell you how excited I am about that, no pictures to share though as I don’t go until tonight!
And there you have it, just 4 things that made it in to my happy days this month. There are so many I could have chosen from.
Here’s to another month filled with happiness.
Do you think you could pick a moment from each day this month that bought you happiness? What would be the highlight of February for you?

Loved reading about the things that made you happy over the last few weeks! I keep a gratitude journal, so writing down what makes me happy / grateful every day is part of my routine and it’s definitely a game changer!
I agree, it really makes you appreciate how lucky we are x x
This is such a lovely idea to keep track of moods etc! Something great to read back on when you’re having a low day too! Caitylis x x
It certainly makes you appreciate what you have x x
Awww lots of positives recently and those Valentine’s flowers are gorgeous! 🙂
I have not been to Carlisle in many moons, I should really make the effort to go up for a visit! Glad you got up there in the end and enjoyed your visit! There really will always be a positive in the day, even if that is just putting your feet up for 5 minutes – got to keep remembering those moments! Sim x
Just stopping some days is enough of a reason to be happy, you’re so right x
This is such a great idea! I need to start writing down what makes me happy each day too.
Its a really lovely thing to do x
So important to note the things that make us happy. Well done for taking the time to write these up!
What a happy post!!! This definitely brightened my day today!!!
Awww I am so glad x x
This brought a smile to my face. Especially the cheeky Valentine’s Day card! Love it!
He is so naughty! I feel for the person that had to write it!
Such a lovely way of tracking your moods, I think we can all find reasons to be happy in every day if we really look
Most definitely. It is easy to forget our own happiness though x
Aw such a lovely post. How nice to have flowers sent to your office on valentines day – very lovely xx
Wow sounds like you have been super busy working out too…I must give zumba a go xx
It was a lot of fun x
it’s always a nice idea to think about the happy good things which have happened and not dwell on bad things. Hope you had a good time at The Script x
The Script were amazing! Plenty of happy memories made x
I love the bright energy you bring in with these happiness posts. I think it is such an important thing to stop and take notice of the beautiful moments we experience because we all have them every week and months it’s just that it’s easy for it to get lost in the grind of the everyday rush. Thank you for sharing your moments with us.
Thank you so much Madi, It is certainly important to focus on the good times x
I’m trying to find something to smile about in every day; it can be challenging at times but I often find there is at least one thing that’s made me happy.
It can be tough, the moments are a little hidden sometimes but it is good to find them x
I love this. Definitely something that I’m going to start doing from now on. It’s so easy to bogged down with the bad stuff so I love idea ❤️
Thank you Lisa, Enjoy it. It is so good for the soul x x
What a lovely idea for a blog series. I definitely had a good February – we headed to Disneyland Paris and also to Lincolnshire to see my inlaws.
Oh I love Disneyland! I hope you had an amazing time x
It is so important to remember the things that make us happy. I love that you’re sharing this on your blog. I had a busy but good February.
Ours felt very busy too, here’s to a quieter but lovely March x
It’s important to appreciate the good things that happen as many overlook them. Receiving flowers at work is lovely. It looks like a gorgeous bouquet.
They were so beautiful x
It’s great to change your mindset and to focus on the positive. Especially doing it long term, it becomes ba habit. I started counting my blessings back in 2011 and I’ve never looked back. Mich X
That is so great to hear x x
This was fun to read. I think you can be happy everyday yes! Enjoy The Script and good luck with Slimming World
Thank you Angela, The script were amazing. And so far so good with Slimming world x
It is hard to be happy every day, but what counts the most is trying. Looking forward and having a positive mindset goes a long way. Sending you lots of positivity for another great month!

Thank you so much Nancy x
I love that you have journaled your happiness and somehow by reading it back I am sure it makes you grateful for everyday and gives you so much more good energy to look forward to.
It really does make me feel very grateful x
What a lovely idea. I’ve never thought about it that way, but it probably is true that you can find a small happy moment even on the most rubbish of days.
They can be fairly hidden, but they are usually there somewhere x x
What a lovely idea 😊 I like to think that I could pick a moment from each day that has made me happy. I think mine would mostly be family related. My little boy does make me smile every day!
Your flowers are lovely 😊
Enjoy the next month of happiness. I might try doing this myself as I already have a journal that I write in every night.
Thank you Amy. Children really do bring so much happiness to our lives x
Lovely read, so joyous. It’s a great exercise to try, I’ve been doing weekly gratitude, but I like the idea of upping it to daily happiness. Sometimes it can be a struggle but it’s important to focus on the good bits
Thank you Jo, I agree, the moments are there, it is just remembering that x x
Love the idea of writing down what makes you happy every day, going to start doing so myself. We don’t really bother with valentine’s day gifts but appreciate quality time together on the day as like you have spent many alone so going to make the most of having a partner.
Ooh I bet the script are awesome – have a fabulous time. I’m so glad your train trip went okay after all the doubt. It sounds like you’ve had a great month!
What an interesting idea. My initial thought, is no I couldn’t pick a happy moment from everyday, but then I am struggling with depression at the moment. Perhaps trying this would make me realise there’s more happy moments than I sometimes realise.
It has really helped me Adam x
I love this! I’d love to be happy everyday!
This is such a good project! I also agree with enjoying valentines because of all those I’ve had alone! My valentines was also great! We went bowling, mini golf and had a nice meal!
-Kyra
Sounds like a lovely Valentines x x
Reading this makes me happy!
Such a great idea for a blog post and for personal development! I might have to jot down my happy moments too
Honestly it is a complete shift in mindset x
Ah, this is so lovely, Claire, what a wonderful way to record and remember February. It was a good month for me too, half-term made it, so good to spend time with my girl 🙂 x
I had half term too, but a different one to my boy sadly x
Well done! I’m struggling a bit this week as I’ve got mastoiditis and it’s horrid 😞
Hope you’re feeling better x
It’s easy to concentrate on the bad things sometimes. I like the idea of picking out at least 1 happy thing a day.
It really put’s things in to perspective x
Aww, this is such a lovely idea Claire and a great way to remember the February highlights. I did something similar in my bullet journal, where I noted down the ‘best bits’ of the month. I would say going to a cat café, a spa day and starting posting on my blog again were my highlights. Hope you have a lovely March with lots of happy moments! <3 xx

It is so valuable to put more focus on the good than the not so good. I hope your March is marvellous too x x
I respect your eternal positivity! I count my blessings every day and it puts things into perspective. Keep this journaling up Claire!

He did well, I might make him write a blog!
