Top 20 lockdown posts 2nd edition

Following the success of my last lockdown round up post here are my Top 20 lockdown posts, 2nd edition!

Let’s celebrate those amazing bloggers who kept us going through this weird time!

1.Thoughts in The Times of a Pandemic – Being Kind!

An Ordinary girl sums up the need to be kind, almost above anything else. We were all so busy being kind before the pandemic and it was great. Now though, we seem to have forgotten this message at times.

2.Annoying things about parenting during lockdown

Hannah has a little tongue in cheek look at the reality of parenting through lockdown. When I read this, I felt seen! Seriously, the call on snacks is almost breaking me! And that’s just from Rob… Although he can help himself, it is costing me a small fortune!

3.My 2020 Bucket list: Updated for Lockdown

Cassie shows us in this post that just because we are locked down does not mean our bucket list has to be paused. Altered to fit our current situation maybe. I love the idea of having a bucket list to complete during lock down rather than just after.

4.Spotlight On…COVID-19 Coping Resources

In this post Shannon provides us with so many useful resources that can help us during this WTF time! Seriously, if it hasn’t made this comprehensive list then you probably don’t need it.

5.We all Need to Stop Pretending we’re “Fine” & Just Feel our F*cking Feelings

Thank you Natasha! I think so many of us could benefit from this post. It is so easy to say ‘I’m fine’ when in fact we are far from it.

It is OK to feel this way and simply reading this post made me realise that. It also made me realise that it is OK to be OK too. No one should be made to feel as though their feelings on this situation are not valid in anyway.

6.50 stay at home activities

In this post, Tamara shares some fabulous ideas of things to do at home. From the Tik Tok challenges to digging out your wedding dress and parading round the house. Tamara has covered it all!

7.Support small beauty

I love the idea of supporting small businesses at the best of times. But now it really can make a huge difference to those who are trying so hard to keep going.

In this post Faith shares some fab small beauty related businesses to keep our make up bags bulging while helping a small business owner out.

8.10 More at home date night ideas

Maisie has the perfect post for the couples out there. Yes we may be locked down with them right now but I think it is even more important to make time to date.

There are some lovely ideas in this list that will keep us safe at home while enjoying spending time with our loved one.

9.5 ways to keep the travel bug during quarantine

Johnny got grounded! But it doesn’t mean he is lacking in great content. This post is perfect for those dreaming of travelling.

I personally love the idea of revisiting some of my favourite travel experiences. I am always going through old photo’s but I have enjoyed doing that a lot in lock down.

10.10 Creative things to do at home

Being creative during lock down can be a lot of fun. Here Jen has 10 suggestions for being creative that fit all.

I love the idea of making a scrapbook. So much so that I have printed far too many pictures of our time in lock down. As a family, I think it will be the perfect way to capture this time together.

11. Perfect books to Escape

If you are using your spare time to read currently, this post could be the one for you.

Alice shares with us great books to escape with. From alternative worlds to children’s books, now is the perfect time for a bit of escapism.

12.7 Lockdown challenge ideas

I loved Lucy’s post when I read it. We know there are plenty of things we could be doing right now, but for me these challenges are THE one thing I really want to do!

OK so maybe not the marathon around the garden one but I think I’d rock a pillow! Now you know you have to go and read to find out what I am talking about…

13. The 3 R’s of Coronavirus

This post by Lisa Marie is all about a change in perspective. I have certainly spent a lot of time thinking about the 3 R’s.

I have had a complete change in perspective, Have you?

14.10 Gift ideas to send a loved one while in quarantine

I adore the idea of sending loved one gifts while we are in Lock down. Emily has 10 wonderful ideas for you to show your love from a far.

I have had some really lovely gifts during this time and they have meant the world to me. I have sent some too which is equally as heart warming.

15.Thoughts from Naivasha | Kenya  – Day 38

The Nomadic Backpacker has a whole new level of Lock down. He is currently miles from home in Kenya.

This post is just one in a series he shares about life in Lockdown in a completely different country. As if this time was not scary enough, I can’t imagine how that must feel. They are a brilliant set of posts and I really do wish him all the best and hope he’s home soon.

16. Things to do when you’re not working

Here Claire has a huge list of things we could be doing while we are not working. Suddenly we all have a lot more time even if that is just saving on commuting. But for some who are not working from home or have been furloughed, there is a lot of time to fill.

Which would be top of your to do list?

17. Travel inspiration: 15 places to go after Corona

I think we are all dreaming of that first holiday away aren’t we? Victoria has some amazing places to choose from on this post.

So good in fact, I think this blog post just became my new bucket list!

18. 10 Ways of coping with isolation anxiety

There is no way to escape the isolation for some of us. Even being in a busy house for 3 months can be isolating.

Jess has some great ways to make time for yourself or to keep those feelings of isolation at bay.

19. 10 Ways to stay at home and still have family adventures

I love this post by Kaz. It offers so many wonderful ways to adventure without breaking lock down rules.

I am all for having adventures at any time and I certainly don’t think we need to give up during lockdown. Although secretly I am quite glad there is no room in our garden for the huge tent! Winner!

20. Improve your personal image from home

In this post Jenni looks at 5 ways we can improve our personal image without leaving home.

Our personal image is so much more than the clothes we wear, its about who we are and who we present ourselves as.

These 5 ideas are a great use of our time now to work on our post lock down persona.

And there you have it, 20 more incredible posts that sum up what we’ve been thinking, what we have been doing and what we hope to do following lock down.

It looks like many of us will be choosing to remain in a personal lockdown a little longer and some of us returning to work over coming weeks.

Whatever you’re doing, keep safe, keep cracking out amazing content and stay safe.

Thank you again for all your support.

Spread the love

  18. What a great idea for a roundup post. Personally I am getting to the end of my patience with lockdown – especially when it comes to home-schooling. As I live in Wales the restrictions have barely eased at all and there seems to be very little change on the horizon!

    1. clairelomax2018 says:

I can’t believe how differently this is being dealt with. I hope things ease for you soon x

  30. Niraj Shah says:

These seem like a great collection of posts that I must find the time to read at least some of them! In particular, I like suggestion 5. A lot of us unfortunately pretend everything is fine when its nice, and sadly that is due to the current stigma around mental health

    1. clairelomax2018 says:

I completely agree, it feels so much easier to say that we are fine but we need to know that it is important to speak up when we are actually far from OK.
