Valentines day is finally here and I have shared my stance on why we should be making romance a priority this year. But let’s be honest, with not being able to go anyway and the weather turning cold, thanks storm Darcy, it’s definitely movie time! Here are 40 romantic movies to enjoy on Valentines day.

Some of these films are up there as my favourites, I am a sucker for a romantic film. Much to my partners delight! But even as a single girl, I loved nothing more than enjoying a chick flick. Here are some of my favourites.

  6. I’m so happy to see Pretty Woman up there, it’s one of my all-time faves, Julia Robert’s laugh is SUCH a joy. And I also love Four Weddings and a Funeral and Breakfast at Tiffany’s too. Thank you for including some films for singletons too, Claire – Steel Magnolias is a classic! x

  23. So many of these movies you’ve included are favourites of mine. I absolutely love Pearl Harbour. Its the right amount of romance with still enough other action in it so that it isn’t too cheesy.

  37. This is typically not my favorite genre but I love the 90’s Meg Ryan films like Sleepless in Seattle and You’ve Got Mail (doesn’t their email system look so dated?). Steel Magnolias is one of my all-time favorite films xx
