It’s February and the diet game is still strong. That doesn’t mean though that my thoughts don’t stray. Stray to Sugar and spice and all things nice.
I’m only human guys!
You can imagine my delight when Sugar and Spice by Shiksha sent me some beautiful cookies to sample on Valentines day.
Cookie Love
I am partial to a cookie, but I have specific cookie criteria. Some might say fussy, I’d say shhh.
I like it to be really chocolatey and the right kind of soft without being soggy. Normally I opt for a small cookie so I can at least pretend to show restraint!
After I had swatted away my hungry work buddies, I was delighted to find 5 big beautiful cookies delivered to me.
Sugar and Spice cookie review
When I say big, I do mean big, size of my face kind of big. They were beautifully wrapped and arrived just as the coffee was poured.
Of course I had to try one right? Purely for the purpose of reviewing ….
The first thing that was clear was that I’d under-estimated the size, not only were they moon like in shape but they were also really thick in comparison to some of the supermarket bakery ones available.
The smell of rich chocolate was beautiful. Very different to the normal smell of bakery you get from fresh cookies. I could smell the richness, the bitterness that dark chocolate has.
The triple chocolate cookie had more chocolate than I thought was possible!
They were rich and delicious. The cookie was soft but not underbaked kind of soft. A good cookie has to have a crunch and this had it.
They were melt in the mouth delicious!
Of course I had to share with Rob, as a valentines treat (Thanks Sugar and Spice) I served his with a lovely salted caramel ice cream.
Now I loved them but his reaction was one of absolute pleasure. He has already put in a request for a treat delivery some time soon.
A little about Sugar and Spice
This Midlands base company offer much more than cookies. Their range of cupcakes and cakes look and no doubt taste immense.
They offer gluten and diary free products as well as catering for vegans.
They offer local delivery but also cover some amazing local food markets. Including a regular slot on Saturday at Warwick’s outdoor market.
I would Highly recommend trying these guys out for any of you sweet treat requests, you can find Sugar and Spice there or via their Instagram page

Oo, they look delicious! I love a soft-but-chewy chocolate cookie, and these look so more-ish I’m sure I could get through the whole packet all by myself!
I think I’d of made myself sick if I tried, but i’d give it a good go!
Oh gosh I love 🍪 cookies they are my fave. I like both milk and chocolate chip and as long as they are crunchy ish on the outside then yasss. Looks so yummy

OMG these cookies sound wonderful. I love that they are nice and big. It sounds as if they smelt heavenly – I love the smell of a good chocolate biscuit.

Sound delicious and they are huge. My fav biscuits (cookies) are white chocolate and cranberry or peanut brownies. Mmm now I’m hungry!
White chocolate are one of my favourites too! I do love peanut butter as well. I think I might actually be cookie monster x

Those cookies look absolutely amazing, I am yet to find the perfect gluten free cookie, but these make me long for one so bad!

These are super yummy-looking cookies. I like making my own cookies because I can make it my own way. There is not much variety in foods here in Japan, that is why I love to make my own sweets. I love making chewy mint chocolate cookies.
